Frequently asked questions about the iSAQB® CPSA-F course

Does the course award the CPSA-F certification?

No. The course prepares you for the CPSA-Foundation exam, which is taken separately with an iSAQB®-authorised body. On the last day we run a mock exam with discussion and correction.

How much does the exam cost and who organises it?

The CPSA-F exam fee (€280 + VAT) is not included in the course price: you pay it to the iSAQB®-authorised certification body, with which you arrange the exam yourself after the course.

Who is the course for? Do I already need to be an architect?

No. You need at least 18 months of software development experience, not as an architect: the course starts from the basics of the role. It is designed for senior developers, Tech Leads, IT consultants and technically-minded project managers. If you are unsure about the level, write to us.

What is the CPSA-F certification?

CPSA-F is the Foundation Level of the international iSAQB® Certified Professional for Software Architecture programme. It attests basic knowledge of software architecture and is earned by passing an exam that is separate from the course. It is the first level of the iSAQB® path and the starting point for the advanced levels.

How long is the course?

The course lasts 24 hours. It runs over three consecutive days or in the weekend format, spread over several Saturdays and Sundays: the dates of each edition are shown in the calendar.

Is the course online or in the classroom? In which language?

Each edition runs online, in a live virtual classroom on Zoom, or in the classroom in Rome. The format and language of each edition are shown on the course page.

Where are the in-person courses in Rome held?

In-person editions are held in Rome, at Via Venti Settembre 118 (Palazzo Gentiloni, first floor), a few minutes' walk from Roma Termini station and Metro Line A (Repubblica stop). The venue is Roma Office Sharing, with rooms equipped with a screen and videoconferencing and a buffet area for coffee.

How much does the course cost and are there discounts?

The price is per person, excluding VAT, shown on each edition's page, and may include an early-bird discount. If you enrol personally, without a VAT number, a dedicated rate applies and is shown in the summary before payment. A discount code replaces the early bird and cannot be combined with other promotions.

Can I pay by bank transfer and be invoiced as a company?

Of course. During registration you choose who is invoiced (private individual, freelancer, Italian or foreign company) and enter VAT number, SDI code and PEC.

How does the refund policy work?

If the course is not held because the minimum number of participants is not reached, the fee paid is refunded (alternatively you can choose another date). For other needs, such as replacing a participant, use the contact form.

Do you run dedicated editions for our team?
